August 26, 2002 - Update for Windows XP

We have been notified by Actuate Corporation that they will be certifying Actuate 6.x and above for use on Windows XP. BDM is currently working on incorporating Actuate 6.x into RxTFC and it will be available with our next release of RxTFC in the 2nd quarter 2003.

July 3, 2002 - Update on RxTFC® and Windows® 95

As of November 30, 2001 Microsoft has discontinued support for Windows 95.

At a recent Progress developers convention Progress Software Corporation announced that, in the very near future, support for Progress licenses running in the Windows 95 environment will also be eliminated. Furthermore we have received notification from other 3rd party software providers that they may only be able to provide limited support on desktop operating systems that have been discontinued by Microsoft.

BDM recommends that customers running discontinued operating systems should start planning upgrades to their in-house workstations within the next year in order to ensure that you are compliant with the latest supported operating system releases. BDM will continue to provide technical assistance for our products but there may be circumstances where the issues may be directly related to the workstation operating system and resources will not be available from third party software providers in order to resolve them.

For further information on this important matter please contact your BDM Account Representative or the BDM Support Center.
